are emerging. UX directors are being called on to organize the complex flow of a design team's research, vision and execution. It is a great time to be leading product design, and opportunities abound.

Moving to a UX leadership role in a new company, however, is not without its challenges and pressures. In this talk, Dave VanEsselstyn will discuss his recent job transition (from 8 years directing UX at Amplify to 5 months directing UX at MakerBot) in light of expectations, bumps and successes, and offer concrete suggestions about how to prepare for one's first 90 days in a new UX role.
